We are a busy, friendly GP training practice in Addiscombe, full training willbe given.
Theideal candidates must have experience in dealing with the public, haveexcellent IT skills and be flexible in terms of hours. You will need to be keenand quick to learn, be able to work within a team and have empathy for patients'needs.
No prior GP practice experience is required, however the ideal candidate must be familiar with the role of primary care / GPs in the NHS.
Good IT and computer skills are essential for this position.

Stovell House Surgery is a welcoming GP practice in the heart of Addiscombe, Croydon, caring for over 8200 patients from the local area.

You will be well-supported by our management and clinical team, however must be able to work independently and autonomously.
The role of reception is mainly an administrative role, and requires excellent people-person and communication skills, due to the patient-facing nature of the role.
Duties and responsibilities of receptionists include, but are not limited to: appointments, handling telephone calls, document workflows, processing repeat prescription requests, completing tasks set by practice manager or doctors, opening/closing front doors, maintaining cleanliness of waiting area and consulting rooms, keeping noticeboards and patient areas up-to-date, working collaboratively as part of our practice team.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of the NHS, however no previous GP surgery employment is required. Strong work-ethic, commitment to the role, flexibility and efficiency are key traits in a successful applicant.
Although you will be well-supported by our existing administrative and management team, you must be able to work independently, autonomously, with a problem-solving and can-do attitude.
As the first port of call for our patients, a friendly and warm welcome and excellent communication skills are crucial to this role.
The surgery is fully computerised, so good IT and computer skills are a necessity. Successful applicants will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Emis (clinical system training provided).
