Job description

Friary Surgery are seeking a Medical Receptionist to work in their friendly, well established GP practice.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a comprehensive clerical and receptionist service. Terms and conditions of post will be discussed at interview stage.

The successful candidate needs to be available to work between 8.30am-6.15pm Monday – Friday. Please note this is a permanent job after a 3 months probationary period.

Qualifications

  • Proven office and administrative experience in a medical or healthcare setting
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • 5 GCSE’s at a grade C or above
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using office software and medical management systems
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Familiarity with scheduling appointments and managing patient records

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the office calendar efficiently.
  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries, providing information and directing them as necessary.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with regulations.
  • Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth office operations.
