Job summary

Lifeline Recruitment Services is seeking experienced Medical Receptionists to cover NHS GP surgeries across various locations including Birmingham. You will manage the surgery front desk, providing excellent reception for patients using Emis Web and handling appointments and data entry with discretion.

Ideal candidates have NHS GP surgery experience, DBS clearance (within a year) and are flexible, reliable and professional to operate in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ recent experience in NHS GP surgery as Medical Receptionist.
• Able to book/cancel patient appointments and input patient data on the system.
• Be prepared to undergo a DBS check or hold a DBS certificate dated within a year.
• Be flexible, reliable and professional.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients at the front desk and provide a welcoming reception experience.
• Book and cancel patient appointments and manage EMIS Web entries.
• Input patient data accurately and perform general administration tasks.
• Assist with prescriptions handling as part of reception duties.

• Be happy to undergo a DBS check or have a DBS certificate dated within a year.
• Be flexible, reliable and professional.
