A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work within the Medical Professional Standards team to undertake appraisal/ revalidation and job planning support for the Medical and Dental workforce.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

In this role you will report to the Medical Professional Standards Manager. The Barts Health Group is a breath-taking organisation in terms of scale and services with a medical and dental workforce to match which comprises of circa 5000 Doctors and Dentists across the group. In the main working with the Consultants, SAS and Locally Employed Doctors who account for approximately 2200 Doctors within the total number.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, diligent team player with initiative and knowledge of Medical and Dental terms and conditions of service.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel
  • ECDL
  • PRINCE level 1 & 2
  • CPD

Experience

  • Experience of working within a Medical staffing function
  • Knowledge of Consultant/ SAS contract/ terms and conditions
  • Have the ability to articulate and present detailed information to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of job planning and appraisals/ revalidation
  • Operational experience in working with Allocate, Consultant / SAS E-Job Plan
  • Operational experience in delivering job planning training to both consultants and managers.
  • Experience in working with appraisals for Medics.
  • Experience with working external bodies including General Medical Council.

Knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications including excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP), how to compile powerpoint presenations and MS Teams
  • ESR knowledge/ experience

Skills

  • Innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstratable team working skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively within specified deadlines given.
  • Ability to use own inititiave to resolve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
