NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a Medical Physics Technologist based at University Hospital Crosshouse on a permanent contract. The post is 36 hours per week.
You will join a dedicated team providing a medical equipment management service across NHS Ayrshire and Arran. Duties include safety checks, acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance, calibration and upgrade of electro‑medical equipment within Crosshouse Hospital. A UK driving licence is essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Physics Technologist based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
36 hours per week.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
You will join a dedicated team of technical staff providing a medical equipment management service to healthcare establishments within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. Duties include safety checks, acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance, calibration and upgrade of electro-medical equipment within Crosshouse Hospital.
A degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent qualifications/experience is essential. Knowledge and experience of practical electronics, engineering, IT principles and physics fundamentals is required.
Registration with the Register for Clinical Technologists (RCT) held by the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) is desirable, although not essential.
