Irwin Mitchell in Birmingham is seeking a Paralegal to support our Medical Negligence team. You'll gain hands-on exposure to high-value claims, working closely with clients, experts and Counsel.

Essential: Law degree, strong communication, empathy and organisation. Desirable: prior medical/claims experience. You'll contribute to case management, document preparation and collaboration across the team.

Qualificações

• Essential legal education with a focus on medical negligence is required.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement in sensitive situations.
• Proactive and highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a first point of contact for new and existing clients with empathy and professionalism.
• Support fee earners in day-to-day case management and ensure files progress efficiently.
• Assist with investigation of claims, including medical records and key evidence.
• Liaise with medical experts, Counsel and third parties, and assist in arranging conferences.
• Prepare documentation for litigation, including court bundles and Counsel instructions.
• Assist with hearing preparation and attendance at hearings where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate case management records and support financial/performance targets.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support team objectives and positive culture.
