Job summary

CJS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Medical Lead - SEND to support a specialist Further Education provision for learners with complex medical and additional needs in West London. The role focuses on coordinating medical care and safeguarding within an educational setting.

You will develop healthcare plans, oversee procedures, liaise with families and NHS professionals, and work with SEND, education and therapy teams to ensure safe, person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Relevant healthcare qualification and professional registration where applicable.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND and/or complex medical needs.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding.
• Experience managing healthcare plans and medical procedures.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
• Ability to work confidently within an education or specialist SEND environment.

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for an experienced Medical Lead - SEND to support a specialist Further Education provision for learners with complex medical and additional needs in West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional looking to work within a specialist education environment, supporting young people with complex needs and helping ensure they receive safe, effective and person-centred care throughout their college experience.

The Role

The Medical Lead will take responsibility for coordinating and overseeing the medical needs of learners, working closely with college staff, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.

You will play an important role in ensuring appropriate healthcare plans, medical procedures and support arrangements are in place for learners with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding

This role involves working with young people with additional and complex needs and is subject to the required safeguarding and pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check and relevant barred-list checks where applicable.
