Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a lab tech to work full-time days in Microbiology.

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Laboratory Technician, your duties include performing laboratory tests, interpreting results, documenting, and reporting results. You will also maintain department equipment, instruments, and tools.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science
• Associate's degree in Medical Technology

Certification/Licensure

• ASCP or AMT certification
• Eligible for certification

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that hosts the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads. It serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
