A leading provider of pathology services is seeking a laboratory support role based in Oxfordshire. The post holder will assist scientific and medical staff by performing tasks such as specimen handling, data entry, and equipment maintenance in a high-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have a background in science and strong organizational skills.

Role Summary
The post holder will work as part of a team and assist the scientific and medical staff in the general running of the Wet Laboratory facility by performing a wide range of routine and non-routine clinical, scientific or technical procedures usually under the direction of a registered practitioner.
Key aspects of the role include labeling specimens received, data entry using the laboratory information management system, stock control, equipment maintenance, record keeping, assisting scientists and pathologists at dissection, and general housekeeping.
The post holder will be expected to apply judgement, scientific knowledge and skills in their day-to-day work so as to provide a high quality and timely result service. This is a non-HCPC registered role, and the post holder will therefore not authorise results, nor take responsibility for results issued.
