Summary

The Medical Lab Technician functions as a phlebotomist, performs and is trained to assist in the performance of routine laboratory testing. In addition to blood collection, MLAs will process blood and other body fluid samples, perform quality control, operate laboratory equipment, and perform simple laboratory tests.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or higher
  • Healthcare experience is preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills, must be able to follow precise procedures
  • Good reasoning and communication skills with the ability to multitask
