Job description

Are you a skilled journalist with a background in pharmaceutical or clinical reporting and a passion for medico-politico news? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and respected online health publication that provides trusted, timely news to UK-based doctors.

As part of a collaborative editorial team, you’ll break and write daily stories on the most important developments in the UK healthcare system, pharmaceutical industry, and health policy – helping healthcare professionals stay informed and ahead of the curve.

Please note: You must have journalism experience in pharma, clinical or medical policy reporting.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Writing fast, accurate stories on medico-political, clinical and pharmaceutical news
  2. Covering policy shifts, clinical trials, regulatory developments and sector updates
  3. Attending UK medical conferences and writing news and feature content
  4. Building strong relationships with clinicians, PR contacts and medical institutions
  5. Generating story ideas, pitching, and contributing to editorial planning
  6. Maintaining the publication’s high standards of editorial integrity

What you’ll bring:

  1. At least 3 years of journalism experience in pharma, clinical or health policy reporting
  2. Strong understanding of the UK medical landscape and healthcare system
  3. Excellent writing and research skills, with a keen eye for relevant, impactful stories
  4. Confidence in interviewing clinicians, academics and external stakeholders
  5. Ability to work independently while contributing to a remote, collaborative team.
  6. A science or health policy background is a plus, but not essential
