THE POSITION: Medical Communications is part of our integrated commercial services. This position is fundamental to building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. The position delivers industry-leading services, including call center staffing for responding to product information requests, identifying and in-taking of adverse events and/or product quality issues, and medical writing.

The role is home office based (full-time), ideally located in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, and the job holder must be legally eligible to work in the European Union or in the UK.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through their teams. These results are achieved by:

  • Translating English documents into the target language or vice versa, and delivering these responses either on the phone or in writing.
  • Triaging and responding to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers.
  • Disseminating drug information verbally or in writing.
  • Identifying adverse events and product complaints, performing intake to generate initial reports in compliance with SOPs, and fulfilling regulatory requirements for post-marketing adverse event reporting. Fluency in safety terminology and the ability to assess information are essential.
  • Utilising writing skills for adverse event and product complaint narratives and medical inquiry responses.
  • Coordinating processes for responding to quality-related complaints, involving departments like Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Critically evaluating medical literature to develop information for dissemination.
  • Participating in miscellaneous projects such as market research, system development, and sales training.
  • Performing medical writing tasks.
  • On-call responsibilities as assigned.
  • Performing other duties as required.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Customer Service: Maintain and improve customer service quality.
  • Place of Work: Home Office or European Hub Office.
  • Hours: Europe working hours between 8 am-6 pm CET, Monday-Friday, with possible work on bank holidays for compensatory days off.
  • Metrics: Contribute to process improvements impacting call center metrics.
  • Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Life Sciences or healthcare degree or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical background and excellent communication skills.
  • English at C1 level; fluent in French.
  • Strong translation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharma D / M Pharma or similar degrees, such as MSc in Life Sciences or healthcare fields.
  • Experience in call centers, medical information, pharmaceutical industry, and medical writing.
  • Native French speaker with fluent English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Medical Information Management Systems.
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication, innovation, integrity, and professionalism.
