Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen to join our team at Griffiths Practice, Ashmore Park Wednesfield.

We are looking for a motivated, flexible and experienced medical admin person to join our practice. You will be responsible for medical administrative duties - face to face and telephone care for patients, summarising tasks, coding, document management and secretarial duties. Experience is essential. You will need excellent customer service and communication skills. IT skills are invaluable to this post, including emailing skills, scanning skills and general administration such as receiving and filing documentation and post etc.

Flexibility with regards to working hours will be required for this post. The practice has opening hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm.

Griffiths Practice has not long been refurbished. We are growing in size and excellence, and have achieved a Good in all areas by the Care Quality Commission Team. We have an excellent team of clinical and administrative staff, and the successful candidate will become a part of that.

A background of working in a GP surgery or healthcare setting is essential and the ability to remain calm and work under pressure.

The role requires someone with excellent communication skills, good customer service knowledge and the ability to interact well with a range of professionals and patients. We are looking for a team player, working collectively to optimise patient care.

Main duties of the job

Document Management, QOF Work, Clinical coding and summarising, making, processing and completing referrals throughout their journey, scanning and filing, working efficiently with patients and clinical colleagues, helping with reception duties when required
