Job summary
We are looking for a Band 5 Medical Examiner Officer (MEO) to join the Medical Examiner's Office at the Princess Royal University Hospital Farnborough. The Medical Examiner system is a new service, recently introduced in England and Wales, which will become statutory from September 2024.
The principal functions are:
The current service scrutinises all deaths in the hospital and community in the Bexley and Bromley area.
Main duties include working within the Medical Examiner Offices, completing necessary paperwork for death scrutiny, supporting the development of the service, and managing the Medical Examiners Service in the absence of the Lead Medical Examiner Officer. You will assist in data provision for national requirements and represent the service in meetings.

Person Specification
Essential qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent, commitment to lifelong learning, and completion of core training modules. Desirable skills include flexibility across trust sites.
