This is a fixed-term post (up to Sept 2025) to provide maternity cover. We are seeking an individual with strong organisation and planning skills to support our medical equipment contract manager in coordinating the servicing of medical equipment across the Trust. The post holder will act as the point of contact between clinical end users and maintenance providers to ensure planned maintenance occurs according to schedule and repairs are arranged efficiently to minimise downtime. Accurate record-keeping of service history using asset management databases is essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Contracts Manager in maintaining biomedical, laboratory, and imaging equipment via external maintenance contracts. Responsibilities include ensuring timely servicing, responding promptly to repairs, scrutinising repair documentation, and managing follow-up actions. The role involves recording technical information on the Trust’s medical device asset register, ensuring transparent device governance, and communicating effectively with stakeholders and suppliers while adhering to confidentiality policies.
