Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a Medical Education Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Medical Education service at Prospect Park Hospital, Reading.

You will coordinate teaching sessions, placements and learner wellbeing, maintain education and finance records, and liaise with universities and internal teams to ensure quality training and compliant governance.

Qualifications

  • GCSE level education or equivalent.
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel, MS Forms and digital systems.
  • Excellent communication written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • Ability to work with senior staff and handle sensitive issues professionally.
  • Ability to coordinate complex activities and manage competing priorities.
  • Project administration experience with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborative working across teams and external partners.
  • High accuracy when producing and checking work.
  • Minute taking capability and confidence contributing to meetings.
  • Flexibility to support multiple programmes and teams.
  • Commitment to Trust values and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites with minimal impact on daily productivity.

Full Time Band 4 AFC - Medical Education Administrator based at Prospect Park Hospital - Reading

This role provides comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Medical Education service, working collaboratively across medical staffing, education teams, learners, and external partners. The post holder helps maintain safe, supportive learning environments and ensures smooth delivery of medical student programmes, foundation teaching, clinical placements, and work experience. Responsibilities include coordinating training activities, maintaining accurate education and finance records, supporting learner wellbeing, and ensuring compliance with governance and reporting requirements. The role demands strong communication, digital proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex, changing learner needs while contributing to high-quality training experiences and effective service operations. You will report to the Medical Education Manager.

  • Administrative support -- Deliver comprehensive admin support across medical education programmes and services.
