Overview

Medical E-Rostering Systems Officer role within Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. Part time position in the medical staffing team, focusing on rostering systems, accuracy of information and stakeholder communication.

Main duties

Responsibilities include creating new user accounts for doctors, adding rosters, creating rota templates on the e-rostering system, running regular reports and analysing and finalising bank shifts.

The postholder will update annual leave entitlements and troubleshoot rostering/leave queries, sharing expertise with the team to support query resolution. Training others is an important part of the role. Ensure less than full time rota patterns are set up for each resident doctor rotation.

About you
  • Experience in rostering or workforce administration (preferably in a healthcare setting)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and rostering software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge of NHS medical staff and terms & conditions is desirable

Ensuring safe rostering for both employed and resident doctors in training will be important, so understanding rostering protocols and/or doctors working hours requirements would be desirable.

The successful candidate will have a passion for accuracy, be a good communicator, able to respond to queries efficiently and demonstrate excellent customer service.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and close attention to detail are essential.
