Main duties of the job
Administrator for Medical Devices Team, main duties include managing queries to the Medical Devices Team, and liaising with service and external stakeholders.
Main duties of the role include:
- Liaison with trust wide clinical and corporate colleagues.
- Mailbox and query management.
- Secretariat function for governance groups eg. minutes, meeting coordination.
- Coordination of Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule across 150 sites.
- Liaison with external maintenance contractors.
- Inventory management.
- Writing and issuing trust wide communications.

Person Specification
Education/Qualification
- Demonstrable experience or knowledge of providing administrative support functions.
- Educated to a diploma level or equivalent.
- Medical devices / technical qualification or equivalent.
Experience
- Experience of dealing with telephone and email queries, documenting responses.
- Experience of working in a healthcare organization.
- Understanding of the management requirements of large quantities of data using spreadsheets.
- Experience of providing a liaison and facilitative function between multiple organisations.
- Experience of establishing effective working relationships across boundaries.
- Experience of implementing administration systems.
- Experience of meeting deadlines and ability to manage competing priorities and demands.
- Experience of working within the medical devices field.
- Experience working clinically.
- Experience managing projects.
Skills and Knowledge
- A strong communicator with excellent relationship building skills and the ability to resolve conflict.
- Demonstrable attention to detail.
- Advanced IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Experience of contract management.
- Understanding NHS procurement processes.
