Job summary

Afferent Medical Solutions Ltd. in Cardiff seeks a skilled Software Architect to design a new software system for a ground-breaking medical treatment. You will work within a small team across research, design, implementation, release and post-release support.

You will deliver high-quality software in a regulated environment, driven to continuously improve and influence others. The role requires collaboration with internal and external development teams and third-party partners.

Qualifications

Experience as a software architect of distributed systems.
Proficient coding across multiple languages including C#, .NET, Java and Python.
Experience building systems using PaaS.
Experience working with internal and outsourced development teams.
Collaboration with third-party partners is desirable.

Responsibilities

Define all aspects of development from technology choices to tooling and testing methodologies.
Develop code in line with project quality processes.
Create high-level specifications and organise proofs-of-concept before releasing a system.
Manage risk and consider financial impact of designs.
Collaborate with developers to determine functional and non-functional requirements.
Present project status to cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, security and quality standards and approve final product.
Act as Technical Lead with third parties.
