Job summary

Lexington Medical, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op in Bedford, MA, to join our R&D team. You will contribute to the next generation of the AEON surgical stapler, moving from CAD and drawings to lab testing and documentation for regulatory readiness.

The role offers real scope in a small team, with hands-on work across CAD, fixtures, testing, and documentation, preparing you to understand how a medical device is designed and manufactured.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering (undergrad or grad).
• Hands-on project/internship experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Able to read and create engineering drawings with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design and revise components and drawings per Lexington Medical standards.
• Design test fixtures; fabricate using outsourcing and in-house prototyping.
• Plan and run engineering tests; write protocols and reports.
