Job summary

Job Advert in Hertford, UK, is seeking a Design Engineer to join its medical device design team. You will take ownership of concepts through testing and manufacture, combining 3D CAD design, prototyping and rigorous analysis to deliver robust products.

You will work in a small, collaborative group, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to devices used in clinical environments worldwide, with a structured development pipeline and ISO‑capable processes.

Qualifications

• A degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related engineering discipline.
• Graduate or early-career engineers encouraged to apply (1–2 years’ experience).
• Good 3D CAD skills, ideally SolidWorks, with the ability to produce accurate drawings.

Responsibilities

• Developing new medical device products and improving existing designs.
• Producing 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Taking ownership of design projects from concept through prototyping, testing and manufacture.
