Purpose
The Global Medical Value Creation Head is an experienced and senior pivotal leadership role responsible for driving transformative change within the Medical Capability Home. This role is crucial in identifying and establishing functional value pillars and associated metrics, facilitating strategic planning processes across our mega brands, and ensuring seamless enterprise/local interaction during the strategic planning process. This role works closely with the Medical Capability Home Leadership Team to set a visionary functional strategy, develop impactful value creation levers, and establish robust governance frameworks to optimise resource allocation, architect proper capability building plans and ensure delivery against strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Medical Capability Transformation
- Strategic Visionary: Collaborate with the Medical Capability Home Leadership Team to set a forward-thinking functional vision and strategy that aligns with company goals and anticipates future consumer and HCP needs.
- Value Creation Architect: Facilitate the development of Medical Capability Home value creation levers, ensuring alignment across sub-capability work home, and help develop associated metrics to chart progress and maximize value.
- Impact Demonstrator: Co-work with the Leadership Team in effectively demonstrating the significant value delivered to consumers, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and for the division.
- Continuous Learning Champion: Establish a culture of continuous learning within Medical Capability Home, leveraging game-changing competencies and capabilities critical to success.
- Transformation Leader: Drive transformative change to significantly increase efficiency and productivity within our Dynamic Share Ownership (DSO) operating Model
- Governance Innovator: Build governance frameworks to enhance visibility of functional value creation, optimize our resource flow, and ensure delivery against strategic priorities.
Integrated Medical Capability Home and Activity Plans
- Capability Builder: Develop a comprehensive capability framework for medical capability home teams to clearly plan their 90 day and 3+ year brand strategies, focusing around the development of medical insights, new claims and articulate other activities and resources needed to deliver on the strategy.
- Long/short vision planner: Lead the medical capability home strategic planning cycle, ensuring alignment, prioritizations, budget, and resource allocation across teams.
- Stakeholder Coordinator: Coordinate medical capability stakeholders across Global, Regions, and Countries to contribute to the strategic process and align on activities, including the development of insights, gap analysis, priorities, and activities needed to close gaps.
- Relationship Builder: Foster strong relationships with regional Medical Capability Heads to harmonize implementation plans that are regionally and globally aligned.
- Business Impact and demand: Develop governance frameworks to provide oversight of progress to plans, design the business impact and demand measurement, drive process improvement, enhance resource allocation, and ensure visibility of budget and deliverables.
- Gap Champion: Advocate for identified gaps, proving coaching and guidance to the medical experts poll of talents and required deliverable, ensuring key research areas needs and evidence generation requirements are understood and incorporated into division commercial planning.
Who you are?
- Degree in a medical or health-related scientific discipline / Business qualifications (e.g., MBA) would be ideal.
- Further education in Change Management, Project Management, Coaching & Mentoring, and/or Educational Sciences is desirable.
- Significant experience in across all aspects of Consumer Health Medical Affairs, including indepth management/leadership experience. Proven experience and knowhow around different Medical Affairs areas should include: Clinical Operations, Evidence Generation, Medical Information, Medical Strategy, Medical Excellence and Governance, Scientific
- Proven experience in developing functional strategies and coordinating multi-region evidence generation plans.
- Demonstrated success in building global and cross-functional capabilities.
- Essential international team leadership experience and Global operations.
The successful role holder will be based in either UK or Australia. We will not consider relocation for this process.
