Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Audio Typist based at University Hospital Ayr.

What you will do:

You will provide comprehensive support to the Urology Secretarial team. Primary duties will include audio transcription of clinical correspondence using digital dictation and the use of the patient management system.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  • You should have a relevant secretarial qualification e.g. AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA, or Scotvec qualification such as HNC in Business Admin or equivalent work experience.
  • Applicants should have excellent typing skills along with communication skills, time management, and ability to prioritise your workload.
  • Previous NHS Administrative experience and an understanding of medical terminology and a working knowledge of the patient management system (Trakcare) would be desirable.
