Qualifications

This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.

We have an immediate prn opening for an experienced and dedicated Medical Assistant to join the team at our Margate, FL office. The schedule is as needed Mon-Sun 7AM-5PM; some mornings start at 5AM.

How You'll Contribute:
In general, the Medical Assistant is responsible for:

  • High volume of phlebotomy and maintaining supplies for the blood drawing stations.
  • Ensuring lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
  • Documenting patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records.
  • Utilizing the computer in entering labs and printing labels.
  • Assisting physician or ultrasound technician with various procedures.
  • Assisting with HSGs as needed, taking vital signs, and providing general clinical assistance.
  • Assisting with the clinical care of fertility patients.
  • Providing patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, and communicating physician orders and instructions.
  • Providing pre and post op education.
  • Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients' families.
  • Working independently to assure the program goals are achieved.
  • Supporting and promoting excellence in customer service.

What You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:

  • Completion of a formal MA or Phlebotomy program preferred or 5 years of experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications; accuracy and speed with data entry is required.
  • Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology.
