An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their collaborative team. We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to cover shifts as needed for call outs, vacancies, and vacations. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants have the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education and certification levels while functioning as part of a collaborative team.
While we strive to keep employees in their assigned practices and locations, there may be occasions to float to other departments within the WHP system during staffing shortages or extenuating circumstances to ensure adequate coverage and support.
The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the supervision of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and interacting directly with patients to ensure comfort and address concerns. Collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff is essential to facilitate efficient care.
Does this position require Patient Care? Yes
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
1-2 years of direct MA experience or medical field work required.
