Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a healthcare assistant to provide clerical, clinical, and business support under a Provider's supervision. The role includes setting up for exams, assisting with procedures, collecting vitals, and maintaining patient flow.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, CMA/RMA/CCMA certification (or within 6 months of hire), and BLS within 6 months. Pay ranges from $19.13 to $27.46 per hour, with organization-wide standards and compliance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or registration within 6 months of hire, or credentialed through a formal training program.

Responsibilities

• Assists in conducting clinical care activities under the direction of a provider.
• Performs clinical duties such as setting up for examinations and assisting during procedures; facilitates patient flow.
• Obtains and records vital signs, height, weight.
• Cleans instruments and treatment areas; stocks examination rooms with supplies.
• Conducts phlebotomy and collects laboratory specimens.
• Performs administrative duties: answering calls, organizing charts, maintaining patient records.
• Transports patients to departments as needed and assists with prescriptions and scheduling.
