Job summary

Merz Aesthetics in the United Kingdom seeks a Lead Medical Affairs affiliate to drive scientific leadership, insights, and evidence generation to accelerate affiliate development and strengthen external reputation.

The role partners with the Country Manager, Commercial Director and Marketing Director, shaping strategy with scientific input, building medical plans, and leading engagement with key opinion leaders across aesthetics and MedTech.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree required (PharmD/PhD/MD or equivalent).
  • Significant Medical Affairs experience in aesthetics/pharma/MedTech.
  • Experience engaging KOLs and leading medical strategy.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and medical plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the medical strategy for the affiliate.
  • Own and shape integrated medical plans for brands.
  • Lead medical insights generation, literature assessment and publications planning.
  • Represent Merz at major congresses and external forums.
  • Collaborate with Country Manager, Commercial and Marketing to inform decisions.

Job Purpose

Lead Medical Affairs as the third strategic pillar of the affiliate, driving scientific leadership, scientific insights, evidence generation and organisational capability building to accelerate affiliate development, strengthen customer trust and enhance Merz's external scientific reputation.

The role acts as a strategic partner to the Country Manager, Commercial Director and Marketing Director, ensuring scientific perspectives shape affiliate strategy and decision making.
