Job Description:

We are seeking a Medical Advisor – Spine Surgery for a European orthopaedics company to support the launch of innovative spinal products. This role offers the chance to influence clinical strategy and product development, working closely with cross-functional teams and global experts.

The role presents a unique opportunity for a licensed orthopaedic spine surgeon or neurosurgeon eager to apply their clinical expertise in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage clinical studies in spine surgery, including post-market research.
  • Collaborate with key opinion leaders and clinical investigators
  • Provide expert input for complaint handling, risk assessment, and safety evaluations
  • Review and approve scientific publications, promotional materials, and labelling
  • Deliver internal training to sales teams and distributors
  • Offer clinical guidance and respond to medical inquiries from the field

Ideal Profile

  • Medical Doctor specialised in spinal surgery or neurosurgery (or near completion)
  • First-hand experience in spinal procedures
  • Previous experience in the medical device industry or a strong interest in transitioning
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to engage with international experts
  • Innovative, collaborative, and commercially minded
  • Availability to travel to the company’s HQ and the USA a few times a year
