Media Teacher - Oxford

Hourly Rate: Up to £38

Contract Type: Temporary, Part-time and full-time opportunities available

Location: Oxford


Are you passionate about film, media production, and empowering the next generation of creatives? We're looking for a dynamic and creative Media Teacher to join our team in Oxford and inspire learners through engaging, industry-relevant teaching.

About the Role

As a Media Teacher, you'll deliver our UAL Creative Media qualifications with a focus on Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas. You'll play a key role in preparing students for careers in the creative industries or progression to university through practical, purposeful lessons that mirror the media landscape.

You'll be part of a collaborative and experienced team, working with students who are eager to learn and develop their technical skills, creativity, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver creative and engaging lessons across Level 2 and 3 media qualifications
  • Use your industry experience to bring lessons to life through hands-on project work
  • Grade student projects and support with internal verification processes
  • Help students build real-world skills for the workplace or higher education
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-achieving classroom culture
What You'll Need:
  • A professional qualification and/or degree in Media, Film Production, or a related subject
  • Industry experience in film, media, or content creation
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud - particularly Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects
  • Familiarity with DSLR cameras and studio lighting (advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate learners
  • Teaching experience or a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
