About the Role

An Outstanding mixed school in Haringey is seeking a dynamic Media Studies Teacher to join their humanities department from September. You will deliver engaging media studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, fostering students' critical understanding of media and its influence.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Media Studies lessons, tailored to the curriculum.
  • Prepare students for examinations and assessments.
  • Develop students' critical understanding of media and its influence.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the media studies curriculum and resources.
  • Organise and lead media-related extracurricular activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Media Studies.
  • Proven experience in teaching media studies at secondary level, including A-Level.
  • Strong knowledge of media theory and production.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Salary: MPS/UPS salary scale, dependent on experience.
