Job summary

Sidney Stringer Academy in Coventry is seeking a Media & Performing Arts Technician on a fixed term contract. The role focuses on supporting media content, theatre tech, and classroom IT systems to enhance learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will have GCSE English and Maths, and relevant experience with media/performing arts tech, rigging, and multimedia equipment, including Macs/PCs and editing tools. Training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSE or equivalent in English and mathematics.
• Qualifications in performing arts or media is desirable.
• Experience of technical work within a theatre, entertainment or school environment.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring working at height (e.g., rigging) and heavy lifting.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in IT, media technology, digital film recording/editing equipment, including Apple Mac/PC computers, GarageBand, photography equipment, projector setup, presentations, and specific theatre industry design programmes.
• Ability to organise and manage media content (photos/videos) for display.

As Media & Performing Arts Technician within Sidney Stringer Academy, you'll be able to make a key difference to a pupil's educational experience as a crucial part of the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skill set with key training and development opportunities available.
