Job Purpose
This role is within the Media area of the Creative Arts Programme at Coleg Menai, located at the new Bangor Campus. Our Media courses are renowned across Wales and internationally, with alumni succeeding in the art sector both nationally and globally.
The curriculum includes FE courses from level 1 to level 4. This is an opportunity for a Media lecturer to join our successful, dynamic, and supportive team.
The successful candidate will deliver high standards of teaching and learning, provide ongoing support, advice, and guidance to students to promote success.
Key Expectations of the Role
The role involves lecturing on Media courses, focusing on teaching technical skills such as editing. It is based within the Campws Newydd Bangor in Parc Menai, a state-of-the-art facility where you will help develop the curriculum aligned with creative industry priorities to prepare learners for the 21st-century workforce.
Weekly hours: Up to 16 hours per week, part-time, hourly paid contract, from Monday to Friday. Work pattern to be agreed based on availability. Subject and level of delivery depend on qualifications and experience.
Weeks per year: 35 weeks during term time.
Pension provider: Teachers Pensions Agency.
Annual Leave: Pro-rata paid holiday entitlement, including 8 bank/public holidays observed in Wales and up to 5 efficiency days (subject to change). Total entitlement is based on a pro-rata full-time equivalent of 46 days annually.
