Job Title: Media Learning Support Assistant (LSA)Location: Plumstead, LondonContract: Full-time, Term-Time OnlyStart Date: September 2025 Are you creative, tech-savvy, and passionate about supporting young people? We’re looking for a Media Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive and innovative mainstream college in Plumstead this September. In this role, you’ll work closely with students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them engage with exciting media projects such as video editing, podcasting, and digital storytelling. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a creative environment and is confident using Apple Mac systems and editing software. Key Responsibilities: •Provide 1:1 and small group support for SEND students within media classes.• Assist learners with video and audio editing using Apple Macs and industry-standard software (e.g. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, GarageBand, Audacity).• Support students in planning, recording, and producing podcasts and short films.• Adapt materials and tasks to meet individual learning needs.• Encourage independence and creativity in a supportive classroom environment.• Collaborate with tutors and the learning support team to track progress and contribute to support plans. What We’re Looking For: • Hands-on experience with media production and editing, especially on Apple Mac devices.• Confidence using creative tools and software to support learners.• Experience working with young people or students with SEND • Strong communication and teamworking skills.• A calm, patient, and encouraging attitude.
