Job description

Are you a skilled communicator who wants to make a difference?

Do you have a background in communications or marketing, with a focus on fundraising?

We have a vacancy in our Northern Ireland team for a Media & Communications Manager (fixed one-year contract). We're looking for someone to roll-out the delivery of our communications strategy in Northern Ireland, in order to see more people across the country respond to God's call to love our global neighbours.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to use their experience, passion and ability to ensure that our life-changing work engages the widest possible audience across Northern Ireland.

Tearfund is a Christian relief and development agency and has been working around the world for more than 50 years. We partner through the church and other locally-based organisations to respond to where the need is greatest, helping communities to lift themselves out of poverty.

All applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs.

Hybrid Working:This role is eligible for hybrid working. You will be required to work from the Belfast office at least 1 day a week with the option to work remotely on other days.

Contract: This is a full time (35 hours per week) 12 month fixed term contract. The full time salary is £43,988 per annum.

We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and those from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds (in our UK workforce) as these groups are currently under-represented at Tearfund.

The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
