A UK government agency in Camden Town is seeking a Media and Communications Officer to support priority communication programs for national security issues. The role requires experience in communications, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage tasks effectively. You will help develop content and ensure effective communication across three missions: Counter Terrorism Investigations, Countering State Threats, and War Crimes.
Working within SO15 and reporting directly to one of our Media and Communication Managers, the Media and Communications Officer will work on and support priority communications programmes and projects that contribute directly to SO15's three missions: Counter Terrorism Investigations, Countering State Threats and War Crimes.
You will be part of a highly motivated communications team within SO15, working with and supporting other senior colleagues on important public safety and national security issues. You will also have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas for communications activity that supports wider organisational and operational objectives.
The post holder will help to plan, manage, deliver, evaluate and continually improve SO15's communications. You’ll help us to make best use of our communication channels, support the team in developing compelling content that tells the story across our three missions, and keep communities safe from terrorism. You’ll also play an active role in the wider communications profession within the Command, supporting initiatives that improve effectiveness and how we work.
