Are you a sharp, confident communicator with a passion for healthcare and a hunger for headlines? A leading institution committed to advancing emergency medicine globally is looking for a Media & Communications Officer to join their dynamic national press office, where no two days are the same, and your work could be on tomorrow’s front page.

This is your chance to work directly with top-tier journalists, brief high-profile politicians, and drive stories that matter; that influence policy, spotlight NHS pressures, and champion emergency medicine.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead media relations: pitch, write, and place stories that make waves.
  • Build strong relationships with national journalists and political stakeholders.
  • React fast to breaking news and shape the narrative.
  • Support College spokespeople and manage high-impact campaigns.
  • Juggle multiple priorities with confidence and clarity.

What you’ll bring:

  • A passion for healthcare and public affairs.
  • Confidence to pick up the phone and sell a story.
  • Strong writing skills and media instincts.
  • Experience in fast-paced press office.

Why this organisation?

  • Enjoy flexible/hybrid working with just one day in-office per week.
  • Be part of a mission-driven team making real change in the NHS.
  • Work on stories that matter with national reach and genuine political impact.
  • Enjoy generous benefits, and being part of a collaborative culture.
