For Falkirk Council employees, this is a secondment opportunity. Please obtain confirmation from your current Line Manager before applying, to confirm you can be released if successful.

A temporary position is available for a Supervisor within the Mobile Emergency Care Service at Falkirk Council, until 31st December 2025.

You will lead and supervise a team of wardens on shift, managing alarm calls from MECS service users and providing personal care to support individuals to remain at home, prevent hospital admissions, and facilitate earlier discharges.

You should demonstrate a positive attitude towards change and development, as you will play a key role in implementing significant service delivery changes.

Applicants should have or be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care as a minimum qualification.

Essential criteria include previous experience in personal care services (including moving and handling), staff supervision, possession of a full driving license, and some experience in basic risk assessment.

Experience or training in social care assessment, moving and handling liaison, and working in emergency services will be advantageous.

The role involves working 33 hours per week on a rostered shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, including early, back, and night shifts.

This post is temporary until December 2025 due to service requirements.

If successful, you will be required to obtain and maintain PVG scheme membership.
