Job summary

Affluent Technology Limited in Whitley, UK, is seeking two Mechatronics & Propulsion Calibration Engineers for a 1-year FTC to develop, calibrate and validate automotive control systems across engine management and propulsion applications.

You will work across desktop calibration, HiL, simulation, rig and vehicle testing, collaborating with engineers to analyse data, validate functionality and deliver production-ready calibration solutions that meet performance and emissions targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive ECU calibration, software calibration, propulsion calibration, controls engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and validate ECU software calibration for engine management and propulsion systems.
• Calibrate actuators, sensors, network management functions and diagnostics.
• Deliver calibration for starting, combustion, and aftertreatment functions.
• Plan and conduct calibration and validation across desktop, HiL, and vehicle test environments.
• Acquire and analyse test data; identify root causes and implement improvements.
• Ensure performance and emission targets, robustness and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with software, systems and component teams to define requirements.
• Support validation and production readiness activities for reliability.
• Identify risks and escalate appropriately.
• Maintain engineering documentation and present results.
