Job Description:

Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established and highly reputable firm that specialise in the area of automation and controls solution for global customers. Due to continued growth and stacked out order book, our client is seeking the addition of an Engineering Manager with demonstrable experience in electrical engineering, controls engineering and automation assembly.

The contracted working hours are Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. In return, you will receive a starting salary of up to £58,000, depending on experience.

• Oversee each crucial project stage, including design, build, assembly, manufacturing and delivery of bespoke automation machinery solutions
• Collaborate with Electrical & Mechanical Design departments to design specialist components and produce control panel and jigs & fixtures designs
• Lead the test and assembly of special purpose machinery and equipment, including conveyors, robotic picking systems and leak testing machines
• Review and approve drawings and ensure customer specifications and safety/quality regulations are met
• Review and support development of PLC code and HMI screen design
• Support the Sales Management team with business development and aftersales services
• Maintain regular contact with customers and ensure they are kept up to date with each stage of respective projects

Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or HND as a minimum
• Demonstrable mechatronics experience
• Ability to code and implement PLC controls highly desirable
• Well versed with ISO:9001 quality standards
• Proven team leadership and project management skills
• Experience in the assembly, design and manufacture of special purpose machinery a distinct advantage
