Job summary

Newton Colmore is working with a medical devices company based in Cambridgeshire and they are looking to expand their R&D division by bringing on board an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to lead the design of next generation machines.

This Mechatronics Design Expert role focuses on designing novel solutions for medical devices in a multidisciplinary team, guiding ideas through iterations until they are ready for manufacture and integration into flagship products such as liquid handling

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing mechatronic systems for medical devices.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and ProE.
• Experience with finite element modelling is highly valued.
• Ability to drive designs to manufacturing readiness in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of next-generation machines within a medical technology context.
• Design intricate mechanisms and oversee the development of entire systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines to iterate concepts through to manufacture.
