Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Mechanical Trade Supervisor at HMNB Clyde Faslane to lead the Fleet Engineering team in delivering complex mechanical work packages that support Royal Navy readiness.

You will supervise multi-skilled teams, plan and coordinate engineering activities, review technical documents, and manage subcontractors, upholding safety and quality across all work.

Essential qualifications include an HNC/HND in mechanical engineering, with SC security clearance required for this role.

The role

As a Mechanical Trade Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll take on a pivotal leadership role within our Fleet Engineering team, delivering complex mechanical work packages that directly support the operational readiness of the Royal Navy. This is a unique opportunity to lead skilled teams through technically challenging projects, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of engineering activities in a highly regulated environment.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Leading and supervising multi-skilled teams to safely deliver mechanical engineering work packages

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:15 - 16:45 and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
