Roundhouse Recruitment in Hixon, Staffordshire is seeking a Mechanical Test Technician to inspect and test mechanical and electromechanical products, reading drawings and using hand tools to verify specifications before release to customers.

This permanent role pays £28,000–£30,000 with a 38-hour week, Monday to Thursday (6:30am–4:30pm) and Fridays off, plus a 4-day working week feel, benefits, progression, and training within a busy UK manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience in assembly, fitting and testing in manufacturing.
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test finished mechanical and electromechanical products.
• Carry out quality, functionality and specification checks.
• Identify and diagnose mechanical and basic electromechanical faults.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Use hand tools and relevant testing equipment.
• Carry out basic adjustments and rework where required.
• Record test results and report faults clearly.
• Work closely with production, assembly and quality teams.

Mechanical Test Technician

£28,000 - £30,000 + 4 Day Working Week + Every Friday Off + Permanent Position + Benefits + Progression

Hixon, Staffordshire

Are you a mechanically minded Test Technician, Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Technician looking for a permanent Monday-to-Thursday role where you get every Friday off within a company known for their great working environment?

This is a hands-on testing position within an established UK manufacturing business, where you'll inspect and test completed mechanical and electromechanical products, identify faults and make sure equipment meets the required specifications before release to customers.

You will work within a practical manufacturing environment covering fabrication, machining, welding, painting, electromechanical assembly and testing. The role would suit somebody with experience in mechanical assembly, fitting, testing or manufacturing who is confident using technical drawings and hand tools and wants to develop their technical experience further.

The Role:

• Test finished mechanical and electromechanical products

• £14 -£15 per hour
