Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Test Engineer to join our Service and Commissioning team. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of both our in-house manufactured equipment and third-party systems. As a key part of our workshop operations, you will perform detailed testing, fault-finding, and repairs, supporting the end-to-end process of commissioning, inspection, and customer service. You will also play a custodial role in managing customer assets on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fault-finding on plant and equipment in our workshop.
  • Assist with the testing and commissioning of equipment at our workshop.
  • Inspection of in house manufactured sub-assemblies. E.g. sand filters/pipework/hoses.
  • Carry out repairs and testing of equipment.
  • Support operator training in equipment usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform both process and functional testing on new and existing systems.
  • Carry out water analysis.
  • Respond to technical and operational inquiries from internal teams and customers.
  • Support the build and assembly of new water treatment systems
  • The completion of Test Certificates for plant and equipment.
  • Conduct the Strip down and Inspection of equipment on receipt at our workshop.
  • Write detailed reports for both internal teams and customers, which include findings and repair action advice/suggestions.
  • Manage and control of customer assets in the test bay and returning to the relevant stores area
  • Promote and uphold the company’s core values and culture in all activities.
  • Carry out additional reasonable duties as required to meet company needs.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to testing and repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to manage time effectively and work independently or within a team.
  • Customer-focused with a professional attitude and service-oriented mindset.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical systems, fitting, maintenance, and test procedures.
  • Experience in managing technical stores and asset handling.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical, process, and electrical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with producing technical documentation and reporting on testing outcomes.
