Job summary

Wolviston Management Services is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to support a leading client in Billingham. The role focuses on delivering planned and reactive mechanical maintenance to keep critical assets running safely and efficiently.

You will work within a dynamic engineering team, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and site SHE policies while liaising with subcontractors and internal stakeholders. On offer are ongoing training opportunities and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experienced in delivering both planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Familiar with pressure, HVAC, water and gas systems and associated plant assets.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance requirements in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and carry out preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance activities.
• Respond to plant and equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption and downtime.
• Execute maintenance programmes in line with daily, weekly, monthly, and annual schedules.
• Maintain and repair steam and pressure systems, HVAC equipment, water systems, gas systems, and related assets.
• Support statutory inspections and LOLER-related maintenance activities; assist with asbestos management where required.
