We are looking for a Mechanical Technician/Relief Valve Technician to supervise and/or perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, installation, and commissioning of relief valves at UK&I operational facilities, third-party facilities, joint ventures, and subsidiaries.

What will you do?

1. Support troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and installation of relief valves, and assist the mechanical team as required.
2. Be familiar with relief valves and pressure systems, including P&ID documentation, CREDO, thermal and pilot relief valves, and be competent with SAP transactions and report writing.
3. Understand centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, expanders, pumps, and related fluids and requirements.
4. Assist in planning shutdown activities, ensuring proper resources and safety measures are in place.
5. Prepare detailed reports post-activities, including technical data, drawings, parts used, scope, and recommendations.

How will you do it?

1. Mentor other UK&I relief valve technicians to maintain their authorization and compliance.
2. Ensure effective execution of maintenance programs and repair work within budget.
3. Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns, perform inspections, repairs, and re-commissioning.
4. Adhere to safety policies and report incidents appropriately.
5. Supervise maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors for effectiveness.
6. Manage Change requirements, document modifications, and ensure compliance with all procedures.
7. Review and update preventive maintenance procedures for safety and quality improvements.
8. Advise Plant Managers on maintenance matters, utilizing technical resources and expertise.
9. Establish and maintain effective relationships with supporting departments.
10. Participate in equipment testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
11. Collect data for new projects and updates, and manage SAP entries.
12. Follow up on reports and be available for out-of-hours responses.
13. Meet or exceed individual goals annually.

What are we looking for?

1. Completion of a Formal Mechanical Apprenticeship.
2. Significant experience with process pressure systems and equipment, including relief valves.
3. Knowledge of materials, systems construction, schematics, OEM manuals, and lifting/rigging procedures.
4. Experience with large reciprocating/rotating machinery, expanders, and pumps involving various fluids is advantageous.
