Job Description:

As a Mechanical Technician at our Rig Aftermarket site in Montrose, you will support the efficient management of your workspace and production environment with a customer service approach. Your responsibilities include disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding, and testing various NOV Rig technologies equipment. You will support, improve, and lead on-time assembly and testing of equipment, as well as generate innovative ideas and solve problems efficiently.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Read, interpret, and follow diagrams, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions to assemble equipment accurately.
  2. Proficiently use engineering measuring tools such as Micrometers, Vernier Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
  3. Follow work instructions provided by supervisors and adhere to work specifications and equipment operation guidelines.
  4. Perform facility maintenance tasks as directed.
  5. Ensure all QA Plans, Workscopes, Route Carts, Inspection Reports, Test Reports, and Build sheets are completed during the job.
  6. Conduct equipment testing and FATs according to NOV procedures.
  7. Identify product defects and document findings appropriately.
  8. Rework or repair assembled equipment based on engineering specifications and changes.
You will be
  • A time-served apprentice or HNC qualified in a relevant subject.
You will have:
  • Knowledge of oil & gas, heavy plant, factory machinery, or aerospace environments.
  • Knowledge of Pressure Equipment.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic systems.
