Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Lisburn is seeking a Mechanical Technician (Electrical Training) to join a specialist vehicle manufacturer. You will fault diagnose, install and maintain gearboxes, diesel engines and braking systems on electric yard tractors, with full in-house electrical training provided.

The role offers £40,000–£42,000 plus overtime (OTE £49k), 30 days holiday, a company bonus, training and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Technician or similar with relevant electrical exposure.
• Full electrical training to develop multi-skilled capability.
• Experience in fault diagnosis and maintenance is advantageous.

Are you a qualified Mechanical Technician or similar looking for the opportunity to join an innovative business that manufacture special purpose vehicles and can offer expert electrical training to enable a multi-skilled career path?

In this role you will be responsible for fault diagnosing, installing and maintaining gearboxes, diesel engines and braking systems of electric yard tractors. You will receive full in-house training on all equipment.

Established for over 10 years, this specialist company provides the sale, servicing and maintenance of specialist yard tractors and heavy-duty equipment for customers across the UK and Ireland. With a growing team of 23, they are now looking for a Workshop Engineer to join their team and support their continued growth.

This role would suit a qualified Mechanical Technician or similar who is looking for full electrical training to enable your technical development, becoming a truly Multi-skilled Engineer.

The Role:

• Maintaining, fault diagnosing and repairing electrical yard tractors
• Full electrical training to enable your technical development
• Progression opportunities into supervisory and managerial positions
• Optional overtime, paid at 1.5x
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

The Person:

• Technician, Maintenance / Workshop Engineer or similar
• Mechanical qualification (NVQ, HC, HND or similar)
