Job description

Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with a business experienced in decommissioning, waste management, engineering design, R&D, and refurbishment. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician on a contract until the end of 2025 for its Dungeness site.

The Mechanical Technician role offers a rate of £38.17 per hour (CIS).

Key Skills

1. Performing plant operations, installations, assembly, dismantling, and other activities on equipment within the site and workshop environment, focusing on general plant and equipment.
2. Experience working in the nuclear sector or on industrial sites.

Location, Remuneration, and Timeframe

• Location: Dungeness site
• Work Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts
• Rate: CIS - £38.17 an hour

Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or relevant courses. Security Clearances are not required, but a valid BPSS would be an advantage.
