Job summary

PX Group seeks a Mechanical Technician at Saltend Chemicals Park to join the Engineering & Maintenance team. You will perform maintenance, breakdown support, installation work and engineering assistance for equipment across the site, contributing to reliable operations in a high-hazard environment.

You will receive personalised on‑the‑job training and regular reviews to support development and competence within a multi‑disciplinary team. Excellent practical and safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Have an NVQ L3 or equivalent mechanical qualification or time served mechanical apprenticeship.
• Experience in 24/7 industrial processing with mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Able to read engineering drawings and P&ID diagrams, and use CMMS for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks to SHEQ and business standards, including investigation, troubleshooting and planned repairs.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and assist with equipment installation and projects.
• Produce high quality maintenance reports via CMMS and communicate findings.
• Assist in identifying spares requirements and manage supplier interactions.
• Contribute to safety documentation, RAMS reviews and risk assessments.
