Job description

Quorn Foods is delighted to be recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join our plant engineering team in Billingham.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, modify, commission, inspect, and maintain assets across the plant, ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards are met to achieve long-term equipment reliability.
  • Perform duties in compliance with Quorn's corporate, Environmental, Health & Safety policies, adhering to safe systems of work, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures.
  • This is a day shift role, working 37.5 hours per week.

Required Experience:

  • Background in a similar role within FMCG, manufacturing, or chemical industries.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Problem-solving skills and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to self-development.
  • Passion for healthy, sustainable products that benefit consumers and the planet.

The Recruitment Process:

  • First stage: 45-minute to 1-hour on-site interview discussing CV and role competencies.
  • Second stage: If required, plant tour and practical role-related tasks.
